What comes to mind when you think of winter? For me it’s Christmas time, cozy blankets, and being surrounded by your friends and family making memories and eating great food. So what better season to choose for one of the most special days of your life!? Weddings are all about being surrounded by your family and friends, celebrating and enjoying food together already, so no wonder brides choose a winter wedding celebration! All these things aside, we’ve thought of some other reasons couples should consider a winter wedding date.
For starters, they’re budget friendly. The traditional wedding season is during the warmer summer months, especially here in Washington. Wedding dates that fall outside of the peak season are often available and sometimes at a lower seasonal price. Some of your favorite venues and vendors might have seasonal packages that you can take advantage of for booking a wedding date outside of the peak season. This can allow you to get more bang for your buck and maybe have some extra money in your budget for special décor, favors, etc.
Another perk that comes along with a seasonal wedding date is greater vendor availability. A seasonal date can also open up opportunities for you to book vendors that you have had your eye on, but might otherwise be booked during the more popular months of the year. That photographer on Instagram that you have been eyeing for months might just have your winter wedding date available!
As mentioned, there are so many things to love about winter: snuggling up in cozy sweaters, the hot coco and apple cider, and all of the magic of the holiday season.
