If you’re engaged (congratulations!!), I hope you’re planning to attend at least one of the wedding shows this winter. They’re a great resource for meeting all sorts of vendors, and finding some inspiration for your big day. We’ve put together a few tips to help you get the most out of your day at a show.
Know what you need ahead of time
Before heading to a show make a list of vendors that you haven’t booked yet. Wedding shows are filled with endless vendor options and it can be a bit overwhelming. A list of what you need can help you stay organized and focused!
Bring backup
Bring a couple people with you. Having your mom or maid of honor along for the ride can really help! They can help keep you focused and lend an extra hand when needed. Plus, you’re going to need help carrying all of the promotional material you’ll collect throughout the day.
Narrow down your options
At the end of the day try and navigate your way through all of cards, brochures, and coupons you gathered throughout show. As you go through all of the material you will be able to determine what you really need/want and what you can do without. Lastly, storing what you choose to keep in a binder can help keep all of the vendors contact information organized.
Have fun
This is the most important thing to keep in mind! You’re paying to spend your day at the show, so remember to relax and have fun with it. Enjoy spending time with those you brought along and visiting all of the show booths. If ever you feel yourself getting stressed, step away for a moment and regather your thoughts.
We will be at the Seattle Wedding Show January 13th-14th and the Everett Wedding Show January 20th-21st. We hope to see you there!
